Spacial arrangements to be made for inundated constituencies: EC Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Election Commissioner Sultan Bazeed has said that by-elections would be held in all constituencies in the province and special arrangement would be made in floods affected areas.Talking to Radio Pakistan, Sultan Bazeed said that only four of the 60 polling stations set up in the constituency were inundated.He added that all arrangements have been finalized for one National Assembly and three Provincial Assembly seats in bye-elections.He added that 368 polling stations were set up for the purpose in the province and all of them were declared sensitive.”We have option to postpone by-elections in PB-32 (Jhal Magsi) to three to four weeks after the Provincial Election Commission has received reports from the district administration that 14 of the 51 polling stations are still under water after torrential monsoon rains and flood,” he said.He said that some candidates had also requested for postponing the by- election in Jhal Magsi till the situation improved there.He informed that 223 polling stations in the province had been declared `sensitive' and 128 `very sensitive' and personnel of the army, Frontier Corps, Balochistan Constabulary and Levies Force would be deployed there.He maintained said 819 polling officials from Quetta would be sent to Qila Abdullah to…
